Ardem – FAQ
Step into a living world shaped by harsh environments, fragile alliances, and the will to survive. In Ardem, every step could be your first — or your last. Build your own story in a land that doesn’t care if you make it out alive.
What kind of game is Ardem?
Ardem is an immersive open world survival experience where players set their own goals.
Whether you’re a lone wanderer traversing dense forests or part of a clan raiding rival groups, every playstyle finds a place here.
We focus on delivering a strong atmospheric experience through:
- detailed level design
- immersive and dynamic gameplay
- challenging environmental effects
What does Ardem stand for?
Ardem stands for Artificial Demography — originally the codename of a failed software experiment that ultimately shaped the world as it exists today.
Will there be multiplayer?
Absolutely! 👥
You can:
- play solo
- host private cooperative sessions with friends
- join online servers with players from around the world
From competitive PvP hunters to silent hermits living off the land — the world of Ardem adapts to you.
How many players can play together?
- Co-op mode: up to 5 players
- Dedicated servers: planned support for up to 50 players, depending on hardware
We also plan to release server files so owners can host and customize their own worlds, offering players the freedom to find the style of experience they enjoy most.
Will there be vehicles in Ardem?
Yes! The world is large and travel matters.
Early Access will include:
- land vehicles 🚙
- water vehicles 🚤
We are also exploring the possibility of aircraft for the future.
What will be the price of Ardem?
During Early Access, Ardem will be priced around $20 USD.
This may increase for the full release as content expands.
Any pricing changes will be communicated well in advance.
Will Ardem support modding?
Yes — we fully support modding and believe in the creativity of our community.
However, modding will not be available at the start of Early Access.
We want to ensure we provide the right tools and infrastructure to make modding fun, stable, and accessible.
Is there already a release date?
Our aim is to launch Early Access in late 2024.
Throughout Early Access, we will deliver regular content updates, followed by continued long-term support after Full Release — including bigger content patches and ongoing improvements.
